With jurisdictions around North America instituting carbon pricing, including Alberta, many customers have looked at replacing their inefficient heating equipment. In this case, replacing an outdated boiler gave the customer a chance to upgrade their hot water heating capacity as well as gain greater control of the temepature of their living space.

As you can see the existing mechanical room, while functional, isn't the prettiest of installs. It doesn't look like the installer really thought the job through.
